Building Collapses : 5 killed in Delhi

A three-storey building collapsed in Delhi's Ashok Vihar Phase 3 on Wednesday killing a woman, two brothers aged around 10 years, a boy and his sister aged below five years.

The building was about 20 years old and was in a deteriorated condition, an official said. Several people are still feared trapped while rescue efforts are underway, police said.

The incident took place close to Satyawati College in North Delhi. Two teams of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) were mobilised for rescuing the people who had been trapped.

The cause of the building collapse could not be ascertained.
