Chidambaram walks out of Tihar jail

Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram, who was granted bail by the Supreme Court in the INX Media money laundering case, walked out of the Tihar jail on Wednesday night. He spent almost 106 days in prison.

"After 106 days of pre-trial incarceration, not a single charge has been framed against me," said the senior Congress leader, who was directed by the SC to furnish a bail bond of Rs. 2 lakh plus two sureties of the same amount. The SC also said that he cannot travel abroad without the court's permission

Meanwhile, Congressworkers greeted him after he stepped out of the prison.
