CJI Cancels Foreign Tour To Ensure Ayodhya Verdict

Chief Justice of India (CJI) Ranjan Gogoi has reportedly cancelled his foreign tour to dedicate time towards writing the judgment in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid case.

According to sources, CJI Gogoi cancelled his multi-nationtour to ensure timely Ayodhya verdict before his retirement on November 17.

The source further stated that the CJI, who headed abench on Ayodhya land dispute case in which the judgment was reserved,cancelled his programme for foreign visit due to some exigencies.

Reports say that the CJI was about to travel to someSouth American countries, Middle East and some other countries before he demitsoffice as CJI. It has also come to know that Gogoi cancelled the proposed visitbefore they were finalized.
