Congress Demands To regulate School Fees in RS

Congress MP Rajamani Patel on Sunday raised the issue of private school fees in the Rajya Sabha demanding to regulate the fees adding that the schools also charged high rates for books and dresses.

Raising the issue through a Zero Hour mention, Patel said "Crores of rupees in commission" were being charged on school material and dresses that parents are forced to buy."

He said that schools are charging fees for even the holiday period adding that the government should bring a bill to regulate fees charged by private schools to prevent the poor from exploitation.
