DD Cameraperson, Policemen Killed in Naxal Attack

A Doordarshan cameraman and two policemen were killed in an ambush by Naxals in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada on Tuesday.

Cameraman Achyuta Nanda Sahu and two policemen, including an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) were killed in the attack. Two other security personnel were also injured, Chhattisgarh DIG P Sundarraj said at a press conference.

The Doordarshan crew, who was in the state for election coverage, was with a joint search team of police and CRPF jawans.

According to CRPF, the media personnel were travelling from Aranpur PS to Nilaway village in vehicles when they were attacked by Maoists.
