Delhi Assembly Session To Start from Aug 22

TheDelhi Government on Friday announced that the monsoon session of the DelhiAssembly will start on August 22 and conclude on August 26.

DelhiChief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, while chaired a cabinet meeting today has takenthe decision to convene the session from August 22.

Thesessions will have three sittings as Saturday and Sunday are falling on August24 and August 25, if not extended by the government further.

In astatement issued by the government, it said that the Delhi Cabinet, in itsmeeting on Friday approved the convening of the second part of the 8thsession of the Legislative Assembly of National Capital Territory of Delhi fromAugust 22-26.

Accordingto reports, the ruling party legislators are likely to discuss and praise theAAP dispensation's move to regularize unauthorized colonies, proposed freetravel for women in buses and metro, no electricity charges for up to 200 unitsamong others.
