The Delhi government today approved doorstep delivery of ration to eligible beneficiaries.

This was informed by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, a PTI report said. The CM also termed it as a revolutionary move.

The report quoted Kejriwal as saying, "Under the scheme, wheat, flour, rice and sugar packed hygienically in bags will be delivered to the doorstep of people. Taking ration from a PDS shop will be optional."

The scheme is expected to roll out in the next 6-7 months after the completion of tendering process and other necessary requirements.
