Delhi Government To Pay Class 12 Exam Fee to CBSE

The Delhi Government has announced that the students from government schools will not have to pay any fees to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) .

State Education Minister Manish Sisodia on Saturday announced that the Government of Delhi will bear the fees of the students of government schools of Class XII. He said that the students will no longer have to pay Rs. 1500 to the education board.

Sisodiainformed that the government took the decision after students told him thatalthough the education is free, they have to pay Rs. 1500 to CBSE.

He alsostated that the students belonging to families having annual income less thanRs. One lakh will get 100 percent scholarship while those with annual incomebetween Rs. 2.5lakhs will get 50 percent scholarship.

The studentswhose family's annual income is between Rs. 2.5lakhs to six lakh will get 25percent scholarship.
