Former Congress MLAs Alpesh Thakor and Dhavalsinh Zala on Thursday joined BJP in Gujarat. Both Thakor and Zala had voted against Congress candidates in the Rajya Sabha polls. They had resigned from the party on July 5.

They joinedthe ruling BJP at a function held in the party headquarters in Gandhinagar inpresence of Gujarat BJP chief Jitu Vaghani.

It maybe mentioned here that Thakor had resigned from all posts in the Congress inApril just ahead of the Lok Sabha Polls.
