Google to cooperate election commission of India

Nowadays, political parties are adopting technologies like digital or online advertising to reach out the targeted voters. Hence, Election commission of India has taken step regarding it.

American multinational technology company Google will help Election commission of India by tracking online political advertisements during the Loksabha polls 2019.

The company has assured election commission of India that Google team will ensure pre-certification of such political advertisements along with they will collect and share details of the expenditure incurred on them.

Specially, this initiative would help returning officers to calculate the expenditure of an individual candidates' election process. Popular Social networking site Facebook also partnered with Election commission of India.
