Hafiz Saeed arrested in Lahore

Deadly terrorist Hafiz Muhammad Saeed has been arrested by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Pakistan's Punjab Province on Wednesday. According to reports, the Jama'at-ud-Da'wah (JuD) chief was arrested when he was on his way to Gujranwala from Lahore.

Hewas the mastermind behind the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack that killed 164 civilians. Saeedwas also involved in the 2006 Mumbai train bombings and the 2001 IndianParliament attack. He is listed on the NIA Most Wanted list.

Itmay be mentioned here that Imran Khan-led Pakistan government has beenreportedly under pressure from the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) to actagainst terror outfits and terrorists operating out of Pakistan.
