Haryana: Female College Students To Get Passport Along With Degree

Pratidin Bureau

In a move that would go a long way towards removing the gender gap in Haryana, CM Manohar Lal Khattar reportedly said that the graduating girl students of the state will also get a passport along with their degree certificate.

The process in this direction would start when the girls would still be in college.

An ANI report quoted the CM as saying, "The state government has decided that all girl students should get a passport from their institutions along with their graduation degree."

This move has been hailed by many people. In a state where female education has long been put on the back burner, this move is no less than a godsend in the field of women empowerment.

With a passport in their hands right after graduation, the females can now go abroad for further studies right away, without wasting any time in the name of passport application.
