Heavy Rains in Himachal Pradesh, Uhl crosses danger mark

Following heavy rain in the region on Friday, the water level of Uhl River in Barot of Mandi district has crossed the danger mark.

After the advent of monsoon in most parts of Himachal Pradesh, the India Meteorological Department has issued a rain warning in the entire state for the next 72 hours.

In related news, heavy rain in the past 24 hours has caused landslide in Marhi, thereby blocking the Manali-Leh National Highway-3, nearly 30 kilometers from Manali.

Heavy to very-heavy rainfall is expected in the state this weekend as well.

Monsoon is yet to arrive in certain parts of Solan, Bilaspur, Kangra, and Una in Himachal Pradesh.
