Heroin Worth 2 Crores Seized In Meghalaya, 3 Held

A huge amount of illicit drugs was seized in Meghalaya's East Khasi Hills area on Tuesday.

As per reports, a vehicle trafficking the drugs from Manipur to Shillong was intercepted and around 1.1 kg of heroin was recovered from it. Two persons were arrested in connection to the same.

The heroin was packed in 11 soapboxes which were discovered during a thorough check.

The estimated value of the seized drugs is Rs 2 crores.

Moreover, another man who was supposed to receive the drugs was also arrested.

A case was filed under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act of 1985 against the duo.
