India is expected to land on Moon on September 6

In another significant milestone for India, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Wednesday announced that it is all set to launch Chandrayaan-2, India's second lunar mission.

India's second lunar mission Chandrayaan-2 will belaunched on a day between 9 and 16 July this year, with an expected Moonlanding on September 6.

In a tweet, ISRO made the announcement. "We are ready for one of the most exciting missions, #Chandrayaan2. Launch window between July 9-16 & likely Moon-landing on Sept 6, 2019. #GSLVMKIII will carry 3 modules of this #lunarmission – Orbiter, Lander (Vikram), Rover (Pragyan)," tweeted ISRO.

The National space agency said, Chandrayaan-2 willhave three modules in it, an orbiter, a lander named Vikram and a rover knownas Pragyan.

Chandrayaan-2 will be launched using India's mostpowerful rocket GSLV-Mark-3.
