Indian Army jawan martyred, 2 injured in Pakistani firing

An Indian Army jawan was killed and two other jawans were injured as Pakistani army troops opened fire along the Line of Control in Poonch districts of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday.

According to reports, officials stated this is the third fatality that has occurred during Pakistani firing and shelling across places in Poonch and Rajouri districts in June.

The Indian Army has been retaliating strongly to the firing and shelling that is taking place across the border in the Shahpur-Kerni sector on Saturday night.

On June 4, Havaldar P Mathiazhagan died to Pakistani firing in Rajouri district, while on June 10, Naik Gurcharan Singh lost his life in the Rajouri sector as well.
