ISRO has lost contact with Chandrayaan-2's Vikram lander, when the mission was at an altitude of 2.1 kilometres from the lunar surface : ISRO chairman, K Sivan said.

The ISRO chief said that the LanderVikram was descending on to the lunar surface as planned and that until 2.1 kilometersabove the lunar surface, its performance was normal.
