Jal Shakti ministry to release 346 cr for Assam flood relief

Union Minister of Jal Shakti ministry Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Wednesday has assured Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal financial aid for the devastating flood situation.

In the first phase, the ministry will immediately release rupees 346 crores for flood relief to the state.

Furthermore, the ministry will discuss the flood situation in lower Assam with the Bhutan government at the earliest.
