Jammu and Kashmir: 6 Civilians Injured in Grenade Attack

At least six civilians were injured in a grenade attack on Tuesday at Bandipore district in Jammu and Kashmir, people familiar with the development said.

According to reports, the attack was aimed at security forces. The security forces are currently present at the site of the incident. All the injured have been rushed to the hospital.

According to a report of Hindustan Times, a civilian was allegedly killed in cross-firing after terrorists attacked a battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in the Union territory's Shopian district on Sunday. The incident evoked strong reactions from mainstream political parties in the Kashmir valley, who demanded a probe into it.

This month, at least 11 people have lost their lives in shootings targeting civilians in Jammu and Kashmir, according to PTI. On Sunday, terrorists had shot dead two workers from Bihar and injured another after barging into their accommodation in Kulgam in south Kashmir.
