Jawan martyred in J&K blast

One Indian Army Jawan was martyred in a suspicious blast that occurred in the Akhnoor sector or Jammu-Kashmir Sunday evening when troops were being transported in an army truck.

One of the three Army personnel injured in the blast succumbed to his injuries at the Military Hospital in the Udhampur area in Jammu-Kashmir.

As per reports, an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast occurred near the Line of Control (LoC) in Pallanwala sector which hit a truck ferrying the jawans. After the blast, the three injured Army personnel were immediately hospitalised.

Earlier in the day, Pakistan violated the ceasefire at the LoC in the Naushera sector in Rajouri district. The Pakistan forces initiated unprovoked shelling along the LoC targetting civilians in the area.
