Lovlina Borgohain Marks Her Entry to Quarters of WWBC

Two Assam girls, Jamuna, and Lovlina on way to the medal round of world boxing championship as they blanked out their respective opponents 5-0.

While Lovlina defeated Morocco's Bel Ahbib Oumayma 5-0 in her last 16-clash in the 69-kg category, Jamuna Boro stunned former world champion Quidad Sfouh 5-0 in the pre-quarterfinal.

While Jamuna Boro will next take on Germany's Ursula Gottlob,who upstaged European Championships bronze-medallist and fourth seed YuliyaApanasovich of Belarus in her pre-quarterfinal bout in a split 3-2 verdict,Lovlina Borgohain is sixth-seeded Karolina Koszewska, who defeated Uzbekistan'sShakhnoza Yunusova.

Borgohain on Wednesday defeated Oumayma Belahbib of Morocco to enter the quarter-finals of the World Women's Boxing Championships 2019 in Russia.
