Maha: Explosion in Chemical Factory, at least 8 feared dead

In an unfortunate incident, cylinders at a chemical factory in Dhule district of Maharashtra exploded this morning.

According to the Police, at least eight persons have been feared dead and around 43 injured in the incident.

Speaking to the news agency PTI, a senior police officer said that there were not less than 100 workers present inside the factory, which is located in Waghadi village in Shirpur taluka, during the explosion at around 9:45 am.

With teams of police, disaster management, fire brigade are currently carrying out rescue operations, more details awaited.
