Main event of International Yoga Day to be organised in Dehradun

The main event of International Yoga Day, which is celebrated on June 21 every year since its inception in 2015, is being organised in Dehradun, Uttrakhand.

Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH was given the responsibility to initiate preparations regarding the mega event

As per reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to participate in the event at the lawns of Forest Research Institute in Dehradun.

It may be mentioned here that several 'Walk for Yoga' have been held in the city in the past few days, in order to make the event successful. One such walk was also undertaken by Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and his cabinet of ministers.

A large number of participants are expected to participate in the event.
