Pratidin Bureau

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday identified the vehicle used to carry out the attack in Pulwama on 14 February. The vehicle was said to be a Maruti Eeco and has been identified with the help of automobile and forensic experts.

The NIA had collected the pieces of the vehicle from the spot of the incident and said that the vehicle was owned by a local based in Anantnag district of Kashmiri. The owner has been identified as Sajjad Bhat.

A team of NIA and J&K Police conducted a raid at Sajjad's house on Saturday. The investigating agency suspected that Sajjad Bhat might have joined Pakistan based terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), who claimed the responsibility of the attack on February 14 that killed 40 CRPF jawans.
