MP: 1 dead, 45 Injured After Wedding Bus Overturns

In a tragic incident on Thursday, an elderly woman was killed and at least 45 other members of a wedding party were injured after the bus they were travelling in overturned in Madhya Pradesh's Umaria district.

As per reports, the victims were returning along with the bride from Satna when the driver of the speeding bus lost control over its wheels and overturned.

Locals in the vicinity as well as police rescued around 46 passengers from the bus. They were rushed to a primary health centre at Bargi. Among the passengers was one 65-year old woman who died in the accident.

According to police as reported by NDTV, 20-25 people were severely injured in the incident. The bus driver on the other hand fled the scene.
