PM Modi receives Philip Kotler award

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi received the Philip Kotler Presidential award in New Delhi on Monday. The first ever award  received by the Prime Minister focuses on the triple-bottom-line of 'people, profit and planet'. Dr. Jagdish Sheth of EMORY University, Georgia, USA, conferred the award to PM Modi.

PM Modi was selected for his "outstanding leadership for the nation" according to the award citation.

The various initiatives undertaken by PM Modi such as Startup India, Make in India, Digital India and Swachh Bharat have ranked India among the top remunerative manufacturing and business destinations of the world that has enabled entrepreneurship, ease of doing business, and creating a 21st-century infrastructure for India.

Philip Kotler is an American marketing author, consultant, and professor, currently the S. C. Johnson Distinguished Professor of International Marketing at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
