PM Modi speaks to Assam CM on flood, COVID-19

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday spoke to Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal about the ongoing flood and coronavirus situation in the state.

Assuring all possible assistance to the state's CM over a telephone conversation, the prime minister took stock of the devastating flood situation in Assam that has affected over 50 lakh people to date.

He also took stock of the COVID-19 cases that have crossed 20, 000 so far, and the healthcare facilities given to the patients.

Furthermore, he inquired about the current status of the capping of Baghjan Oil Well.
