PM Modi terms last few years as Golden period in Indo-Bangladesh relations

Following the inauguration of Bangladesh Bhavan at Shantiniketan in West Bengal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that the last few years in India-Bangladesh relations have been a golden chapter.

During these years, a number of complicated issues of land and coastal boundaries were resolved between the countries, The PM said while addressing students of Visva Bharati University.

Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina was also present when PM Modi said that the two countries are rapidly moving forward in the area of connectivity be it road, railways, international waterways or coastal shipping.

Modi said the government will take initiatives to ensure that the youth of both the countries get to know about the cultural contributions made by dignitaries of the two nations.
