A fire broke out at a boat manufacturing factory early Friday morning near Coconut harbor in Puducherry.

Eight fire tenders are currently carrying out extinguishing operations, news agency ANI reported.

The cause of the fire is still unknown. Mudaliarpet police are investigating the incident.
