TheSupreme Court reserved its judgement in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid titledispute case on Wednesday after hearing arguments from all the concernedparties.

The arguments lasted for 40 days, with the last day of hearing witnessing a high drama. Rajeev Dhavan, representing Muslim petitioners tore up a pictorial map showing the Ram Janmasthan. The development came after Vikas Singh, the lawyer for the All India Hindu Mahasabha, tried to place a publication by former IPS officer Kishore Kunal as evidence during his arguments claiming ownership of the disputed land in the temple town.

Meanwhile,the Supreme Court has given three days' time to file written submissions in thecase. With Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi set to retire on 17 November,the judgment in the case is expected to be out before that.

On theother hand, Section 144 has been imposed in Ayodhya district till 10 Decemberin anticipation of the verdict in the case.
