Senior Samajwadi Party Leader Dies Of Covid-19

Senior Samajwadi Party leader and Member of Legislative Council SRS Yadav succumbed to Covid-19 in Lucknow on Monday night. He was 87.

Yadav breathed his last at the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI) in Lucknow on Monday night, said Samajwadi Party national spokesperson Rajendra Chaudhury.

He tested positive for coronavirus on September 1.

Yadav worked as an administrative officer till 1992. He joined the the Samajwadi Party after his retirement. He was also considered close to SP founder Mulayam Singh Yadav.

Presently he was a member of the party's national executive.

Condoling the demise of the senior party colleague, SP President Akhilesh Yadav said he dedicated his entire life to the Samajwadi Party after his retirement.

A native of Unnao district, he was survived by his wife and three sons.
