TMC MLA shot dead in West Bengal

Pratidin Bureau

In a sensational incident in West Bengal, Satyajit Biswas, a Trinamool Congress (TMC) MLA was shot dead by unidentified miscreants on Saturday evening. The miscreants shot Satyajit inside a Saraswati puja pandap in Nadia district.

Notably, other TMC leaders were also present when the incident took place.

Meanwhile, Mamata Banerjee led TMC alleged that it was a planned attack by the BJP. "It was a pre-planned murder by the BJP. They have hired goons to carry out the murder," said TMC's Anubrata Mondal.

However, BJP said that it was the result of the TMC's infighting. "The allegations are baseless. The BJP is not at all involved in the case. Those who are blaming us are actually trying to hide their own sins," said BJP state president Dilip Ghosh.

Satyajit was an MLA from Krishnagunj constituency.
