Two detained with 1000 Kg explosives

Three weeks after the deadly Pulwama attack, the Special Task Force (STF) of West Bengal Police on Saturday morning seized huge amount of explosives from a goods vehicle. A senior officer of the STF informed that explosives were recovered in 27 gunny bags and two people have been arrested in connection with the seizure.

According to reports, the STF intercepted the goods vehicle in Chitpur area in the wee hours of Saturday and seized about 1,000 kgs explosives. The arrested were identified as Indrajit Bhui and Padmolochon Dey.

The accused were travelling from Odisha to North 24 Parganas district in West Bengal when explosives were seized. "We are interrogating the duo and trying to find out more details from them," said a police officer.
