Union Cabinet Meeting To be held Today

A UnionCabinet meeting is scheduled to be held on Wednesday evening at the PrimeMinister Narendra Modi's residence at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg in New Delhi.

The primeminister, however, announced the extension of its nationwide lockdown till May3 in order to curb the spread of the coronavirus outbreak saying that the stategovernments will strictly monitor the situation till April 20. He also saidthat the Centre will issue guidelines to the states.

He also saidthat no new COVID-19 hotspots should form in the coming days.

India'stotal number of positive cases of coronavirus rose to 11,439 including 9,756active cases, 1305 cured/discharged and 377 deaths, said the Ministry of Healthand Family Welfare.
