Uttarakhand landslide claims lives of 3

A rain-triggered massive landslide has claimed lives of at least three people and eight others are feared of being trapped under the debris after their houses collapsed due to the incident in Uttarakhand's Kot village on Wednesday.

The incident took place near Buda Kedar area of the village in the morning.

A team of State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and several district administration officials had launched a search and rescue operation.

Three bodies have been recovered so far with more information are yet to be received.

The incessant rains not only in Uttarakhand, but has created havoc across the nation claiming many lives. Landslides and floods have caused immense loss to property in the year 2018.
