Will ‘try’ to attend Modi’s oath ceremony: Mamata

TrinamoolCongress chief and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday informed that shewould "try" to attend Narendra Modi's second oath-taking ceremony on May 30 inNew Delhi.

"I have spoken to other Chief Ministers also. This is a ceremonial program. There are certain constitutional obligations that we try to fulfil. We will try to attend the event," Mamata was quoted as saying by NDTV. Notably, Mamata was invited to attend the swearing-in ceremony of PM Modi on a day, when two of her MLAs have shifted to join BJP.

Several world leaders, Chief Ministers of the States and opposition leaders were also invited to the ceremony to be held at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
