After the final draft of NRC is released on June 30, those proved to be foreigners will not be accepted by Bangladesh if they do not possess a permanent residential proof. This comment was made by Bangladesh High Commisioner to India Syed Muazzem Ali in New Delhi.

Speaking about returning foreigners to their country, Ali said that residential proof is necessary while doing so. In context of taking illegal Bangladeshis back from India he added, there is a 'peaceful understanding' between New Delhi and Dhaka.

Elaborating on this 'peaceful understanding', he said, for those who have lost their proof or have resided for a longer period in India, for them verification will be done.

Talking about the continuous protests against illegal Bangladeshis irrespective of religion, going on in Assam, Ali said, it is an internal matter and also said that the Indian government has not spoken anything about this.
