DK tenders unconditional apology

Wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik on Sunday tenderedhis unconditional apology for violating a clause of the Board of Control forCricket in India's (BCCI). His apology has come after the BCCI issued a showcase.

According to reports, the cricket governing body hasreceived some pictures, in which, the 34-year-old cricketer can be seen donningthe jersey of Caribbean Premier League (CPL) franchise Trinbago Knight Riders,owned by Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan.

"I have not participated in TKR in any capacity. During the 1st TKR game on September 4, Brendon McCullum had invited me to watch the game from the dressing room, which I did & also wore TKR jersey. I wish to tender my unconditional apology," wrote Karthik in a letter to BCCI.

As per the BCCI guidelines, any cricketer associatedwith the board and under a central contract is not allowed from beingassociated with any private league except the Indian Premier League (IPL).
