French Open: Federer Meets Nadal in Semi Final

Roger Federer and Rafal Nadal will face each other in the semi-finals of French Open 2019.

Federer, who has won one French Open title so far in his career, edged past his inspired and powerful Swiss compatriot Stan Wawrinka, 7-6 (4), 4-6, 7-6 (5), 6-4 in the Quarter Final on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Rafael Nadal defeated seventh-seeded Japanese star Kei Nishikori in straight sets 6-1, 6-1, 6-3. The match lasted one hour and 50 minutes and was interrupted for more than one hour due to rain.

It may be mentioned here that Federer and Nadal have played each other 38 times and Nadal leads the series by winning 23 of the matches.

Notably, Nadal has a 13-2 record against Federer on clay, including the victory at the 2005 semi-finals of French Open and the finals of 2006, 07, 08, and 2011.
