ICC WC: West Indies beat Pakistan by 7 wickets

West Indies on Friday thrashed Pakistan by 7 wicketsin a World Cup match at Trent Bridge, with the two-time champions showing theyare a resurgent force in the one-day game. West Indies cruised to victory injust 13.4 overs in the one-sided match.

Earlier, Pakistan were bundled out for just 105 runs in just 21.4 overs as fast bowler Oshane Thomas took four wickets. Apart from Thomas, Jason Holder took 3 wickets and Andre Russell picked 2.

Chris Gayle was the top-scorer for the West Indies with 50 run in 34 balls. He hit 3 massive sixes and 6 fours.

Gayle also broke the record for the most sixes hit in World Cup history with 40 sixes. He now has 3 more than former South African cricketer AB de Villiers.
