NEUFC takes on Kerala Blasters today; hopes to register first home win in the season

Pratidin Bureau

NorthEast United FC welcome Kerala Blasters in their home turf as both side lock horns in their Indian Super League encounter on Friday evening. Fresh from a much needed break, both sides would look to make the most out of the outing and take away all three points.

While the Highlanders are yet to register a home win this season, the travelling side have won just 1 out of their 7 matches till now. Guwahati could witness a couple of familiar faces in Halicharan Narzary and Seiminlen Doungel, both of whom plied their trade for NorthEast United last season.

The homeside has been boosted by the return of centreback Mislav Komorski due to suspension and coach Eelco Schattorie is confident of a good show by his lads. Blasters gaffer David James meanwhile knows the threat that NEUFC could pose for his side and hopes to get back to winning ways despite their struggling start to the season.
