Senior BJP leader and former union minister Sanjay Paswan said that World Cup-winning Indian skipper MS Dhoni may enter politics after retiring from cricket.

"MS Dhoni might begin his new innings in politics aspart of 'Team Narendra Modi'," Sanjay Paswan told IANS. "On this issue, therehas been a discussion for long, although this decision will be taken only afterhis retirement," he added.

It may be mentioned here that Dhoni was one of thecelebrities whom BJP chief Amit Shah visited in his 'Sampark for Samarthan'programme ahead of Lok Sabha elections. It is also speculated that Dhoni mayeven be the CM candidate of the BJP in the coming Jharkhand polls scheduled totake place later this year.
