Trump declares national emergency citing IT threats

In order to protect American computer networks from foreign enemies, US President Donald Trump has declared a national emergency.

Trump has signed an executive order which successfully bars US companies from using foreign telecoms. The move comes after foreign parties are believed to pose a security risk to the country.

Although the US President does not mention any particular company in the order, but according to analysts, the order hints at Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei.

Many countries along with the US have raised concerns over China using the company's products for surveillance. However, Huawei has said its work does not pose any threat.
