After North Korea's nuclear war threat to US, another country with nuclear power – Iran have warned US of dire consequences if it goes ahead with curbing rights of the oil rich nation.

According to reports of Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Sunday cautioned US President Donald Trump about pursuing hostile policies against Tehran, saying "America should know that peace with Iran is the mother of all peace, and war with Iran is the mother of all wars."

Iran faces increased US pressure and looming sanctions after Trump's decision to withdraw the United States from 2015 Iran Nuclear Deal.

Addressing a gathering of Iranian diplomats, Rouhani said: "Mr Trump, don't play with the lion's tail, this would only lead to regret".

"You are not in a position to incite the Iranian nation against Iran's security and interests," said Rouhani, on reported efforts by US to destabilise Iran's Islamic government.

For the US-Iran face-off, many countries which import petroleum crude oil from Iran have been facing America's wrath. America has asked all nations to snap any trade deal with Iran.
