Nepal: At least 27 dead, 500 injured in massive rainstorm

At least 27 persons have been killed and around 500 people have been injured after a massive rainstorm hit Bara and Parsa districts of southern Nepal on Sunday.

According to witnesses, the storm flipped vehicles and toppled trees and electricity poles.

The National Emergency Operation Centre has informed that the injured are undergoing treatment at various health services.

Taking to Twitter, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has extendented his heartfelt condolences towards the bereaved families.
