Over 14 killed, 100 injured in Nepal accident

Asmany as 14 people were killed after an overloaded passenger bus plunged down ahill in Sindhupalchowk in Nepal on Friday evening. More than 100 people alsosustained injuries during the accident.

According to reports, five people died on the spot, while others succumbed to their injuries in hospitals. The accident took place when the crowded bus slipped and fell more than 50 metres at a bend.

DSP of Sindhupalchowk told ANI that the bus was overloaded and the number of passengers on-board at the time of accident might have exceeded 120. Police have suspected a tyre puncture to be the main reason for the accident.
