Devashree Saikia Tops Assam Judicial Exam, Appointed Addl Sessions Judge

Devashree Saikia, daughter of late Justice Prashanta Kumar Saikia, former Judicial Officer of Nagaon and former Judge of the Gauhati High Court, has brought pride to Assam by securing the highest marks in the recently declared Assam Judicial Service (AJS) Examination. She has been appointed as an Additional District and Sessions Judge.

A native of Dimoruguri, Nagaon, and currently a permanent resident of Guwahati, Devashree has served as an advocate at the Gauhati High Court for the past seven years. Her journey has been marked by consistent academic excellence.

Notably, Devashree secured the 10th rank in the Arts stream in the Higher Secondary Examination from Cotton College. She later went on to earn a Gold Medal in both her undergraduate and postgraduate studies under Gauhati University, further establishing her as a distinguished scholar.

Her outstanding achievement in the AJS exam has garnered widespread appreciation, with her family in Nagaon and well-wishers across the state extending their heartfelt congratulations.
