Free Dental Camp Held at Khanapara by Chinmaya Mission & Partners

A free dental health check-up camp was organised on Saturday by Chinmaya Mission Guwahati in collaboration with Swastika Foundation and KGMT Multi-Speciality Hospital. The health camp was held at Gauri Shankar Mandir, Khanapara, Meghalaya, with the aim of addressing local dental health concerns and providing basic medical assistance.

The camp was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Seemarekha Devi, supported by a panel of dentists, surgeons, and nursing staff from KGMT Multi-Speciality Hospital, Guwahati. Around 60 residents from the Khanapara area availed of free dental consultations and medicines during the one-day camp.

The initiative was coordinated by Smt Sushila Poudel (President, Swastika Foundation), Ms. Sumi Roy (Secretary, Swastika Foundation), Smt Anju Bhandari (President, Amma Samuha), Smt Saraswati Sharma (Secretary, Amma Samuha), along with active members of Chinmaya Mission Guwahati.

Senior member of Chinmaya Mission, Smt Minakshi Mahanta, addressed the gathering, highlighting the organisation’s various community and spiritual outreach programmes. She elaborated on the significance of the Geeta and Vedanta classes, Bala Vihar, Devi Group, and CHYK (Chinmaya Yuva Kendra) sessions and how they contribute to the holistic development of society.

Yuvaveer Neha Singh of Chinmaya Mission felicitated the doctors and dignitaries who attended the camp. President of Swastika Foundation, Smt Sushila Poudel, lauded the efforts of the organisers and appealed for similar camps to be conducted regularly to support underprivileged communities in the area.
