A day after a water pipe burst incident was reported in Guwahati’s Hatigarh area, the Guwahati Metropolitan Drinking Water and Sewerage Board on Wednesday informed that water supply in the area and adjacent areas for the day.

The Guwahati Jal Board informed that the water supply has been disrupted due to urgent repairing work at Hatigarh Chariali. The areas affected by the disruption are Bhaskar Nagar, Hatigarh Chariali, Sarbudoy Nagar, etc.

Taking to X, the jal board posted, “We would like to inform our esteemed consumers that water supply will be interrupted on 25.10.23 in DMA6G4 having areas namely Bhaskar Nagar, Hatigarh Chariali, Sarbudoy Nagar etc. due to urgent repairing work at Hatigarh Chariali. We regret the inconveniences.”

It may be mentioned that amid Vijaya Dashami festivities, a water pipe burst incident was reported in Hatigarh on Tuesday. The incident occurred at Hatigarh Chari Ali, inundating the entire area.
