Pratidin Time

A one-and-a-half-year-old baby girl was kidnapped by a miscreant from the roadside near the Khanapara flyover on Sunday.

According to some witnesses, Hasina Begum, the infant's mother, who works in a shop near the Khanapara bus stop, was taken aback when she learned that the baby had been abducted.

The incident came to light after a few bus drivers saw the miscreant eloping with the baby on his lap at around 11 am.

Initially, the man was discovered playing with the baby; however, he escaped within minutes. The aforementioned individual had previously visited the lady at his shop on several occasions and pampered the baby.

Meanwhile, the matter was informed to the Dispur police.
